One of our members sent me this link yesterday, and it's just way too cool not to share.  As the title says, this is an aerial view of CLE on 4/20/67.  You can increase the size of the photo and just look all around.  This would have been during the time my Dad worked at NASA and I was five, going on six.  I'm betting this shot will bring a lot of memories for him as well!  Lots of cool planes, and it appears as if construction of the C concourse and the roadways was just getting underway.

Enjoy!

Wonderful shot. I was two years and 6 days old when this was taken! Note how small the airport hotel/motel was. It also looks like they''re extending the Rapid line to the airport (which opened in 1968).

Very cool pic!  I remember when the surface lots in front of the terminal were still there in the 80's.  So much has changed!

A swimming pool at the hotel. Classic planes, and a train! Check out the switcher engine at the bottom moving the gondolas of scrap at the Ford Plant. I believe back then it was the New York Central RR, now Norfolk Southern.

Fantastic views of the airport......I also remember the surface lots in front.. Love the old aircraft in the picture.

When  I started going to the airport in the early 70's,the C concourse was done then.I remember all the ticket counters on the ground level roadway  with the baggage claim to the left side.

From the aircraft that TK spotted ,most of these were gone when I started going up..I do recall seeing the Trans Canada or maybe a Air Canada Viscount or Vanguard....
