Boy, am I glad my Dad didn't go this year...my Mom would have been frantic! I'm equally glad that all injuries seem to be minor, but I think some of the aircraft will be write-offs:

Glad no one was hurt but boy there were a lot of airplanes torn up. Not a good start to the airshow season at all. The last few weeks have not been good...

I heard about a tornado from a relative that lives near there. I didn't realize it was that bad!

I'm curious why the police need a tank?

Here's a video of the storm in progress and some of the aftermath. My Dad almost went there this year...I'm glad he didn't!

Again, I'm just glad nobody was seriously injured, but there's a lot of broken planes laying around!

Any word on the condition of the folks who took cover in the Porta-Johns? I know, that's terrible.

"Any word on the condition of the folks who took cover in the Porta-Johns?"

I missed that little tidbit of information! I assume it all came out alright... 😉

nconrad, perhaps Lakeland is the county's largest city/town and provides SWAT operations to the entire county and as such, requires a vehicle that can handle almost any situation
