Some additional info...the first and last:
"The first subsidiary CO flight to depart with a UA call sign was Flight 1284, which departed IAH for DEN at 6:02 a.m. Central time. The last flight to arrive at its destination with a CO call sign, CO Flight 86, departed Shanghai (PVG), China and arrived at EWR at 5:35 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday."

Well ladies and gentlemen, tonight is the last night for Continental...the certificates will be merged this evening, and the Continental callsign will be gone from our skies forever. As of tomorrow, we will be United. Such a hard thing to comprehend and a bitter pill to swallow. I hope this endeavor works out to the benefit of all, and not just to the few at the top. I'm surprisingly emotional today, especially since we knew this was coming...it's just not the same anymore.
I totally understand. It just really hit home today for me.
