I am absolutley devistated that one of the shuttles is not coming to Dayton.
Endeavour to LA "almost" makes sense since Edwards AFB is nearby. But New York???? What the hell do they have to do with the shuttle program?? With Dayton's legacy of aviation, not to mention NASA Glenn's role in the shuttle engine program make Dayton an obvious move.
A "pure decision not based on politics"? Yeah right...... Yet another botched decision, way to go NASA.
Don
They even skipped over Houston!!!!! Are you serious!!! Thats the first words uttered as soon as the dam Shuttle leaves the ground.. "Houston, we have lift off"!!! I dont know who was thinking then they decided to send a shuttle to freggin New York!! Space Travel certainly doesnt pop up when on shouts New York! The key places that should have gotten shuttles, Huntsville, Kennedy, Houston and Wright Patt. Now maybe Huntsville might have to give way for the Smithsonian but Houston should have gotten a Shuttle straight off rip! New york outta all the places!! Man what da hell was NASA thinkin?! They just simply kicked Houston in the face and said screw them!
