Jets 1 and 3-7 left around 1 - 1:30 today.  Jet #2 had an issue right after departure and returned to the field.  From what I've heard it should be leaving sometime tomorrow.  They took an extra day in Cleveland since their next show is so close - no reason to go back to Nellis and then come all the way back here!

I have to say, with the weather as bad as it was, I was pretty impressed with Monday's show. Couldn't believe the Jelly Belly plane doing the truck-landing stunt with that crosswind! Also pretty smart move throwing the published schedule out the window and just filling in here and there. The die hard crowd seemed to enjoy everything.

Looks like my bad luck stay in effect as this was the first time I ever bought reserved seats, but would do so again in a heartbeat (sec 172 front row!) and I guess it rubbed off on Chuck when I shook his hand! Frown

BTW, did you get your hat back off the wing?

Lastly, those weather folks with the Tbirds were great, about five seconds after they did their egress, it started to sprinkle!

Oh maaannnn....I forgot all about the hat on the wing incident!  Dang it...that's gone too.  Yeah, it eventually blew off after about a half an hour, surprising considering how windy it was.  I guess that's a testament to the no-skid surface it blew on to!

Yeah, I love the Jelly Belly of Pietsch Airshows...what an awesome and fun display.  I actually got to meet the pilot after the show and after my cameras were stolen.  I had finally filed my police report and went back inside to tell my boss I was leaving, and he was sitting next to him at the bar.  I really wish I was of a mindset to talk, because all the pilots were there, but my mind was elsewhere!

I took my new camera out today for a "road-test", and I'm really pleased with the results.  I still haven't taken any airplane pics, but the ones I took today will be posted on Facebook soon!

The only thing I want to know is who thought putting flags and banners in front of the box seats was a good idea.

I wish I had a dollar for everytime the flags were brought up here and on Air Show Buzz!  Only thing to do is to make them work for you and place them somewhere in the pic where it will add to the image.  I still lost a couple of shots to the flags but they weren't that big of an issue!

I guess 172 was lucky because we had no flags by us and I could stand and shoot over the banners most times.

I was in 120B and I had the banners right in front of me. BTW, was there anybody from here in 121A on Saturday?
