According to the Summer 2011 edition of "Charlotte Douglas International Airport Connections" the airport overlook is receiving a mini-facelift.  The changes include more paved parking area and a general clean-up.

Insel Air serves CLT two days per week...Wednesdays and Saturdays.  This service began June 22, 2011.

The Historical Flight Foundation DC-7B, N836D, will be visiting CLT November 18, 2011.  Captain Sullenberger and First Officer Skiles (both made famous by US1549 January 15, 2009) will be flying the airplane from OPF to CLT.

Wow...how cool is that!  That DC-7 is one of the prettiest classics out there in my opinion.  I hope someone from here gets a chance to catch this!

If only CLE would wake up and put a official spotting area in. There are plenty of places to put it too.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

What is going to happen to the old tower? Would that even be an option?
