If anyone has information and/or photos of CLE/BKL aviation accidents could you please let me know? I'm looking back for ARFF training and historical purposes. In particular, I'm looking for the ultralight that ended up on the embankment of I480 east of Grayton Road in the mid-1990's. Thank you!

Hi Ed,  There's a few photos in the database of various accidents and you can find those by selecting accidents/crashes in the search engine.  I do remember the incident on I-480, and it was a Quickie or something like that that crashed on the hillside.  If I recall, the pilot was unharmed but I don't remember much else about it.  I don't think there are any pics of that in the database though.  I'll try to do some research for you and see if I can find some info.

Thanks Chuck,

I have the Plain Dealer front page with Metro Life Flight on I480 when we loaded the Pilot but I'll be damned if I can find it. I'm trying to build a history database and obtain photos for pre-plans for varios scenarios on and off the airport. I saw the DC-9 photo on the site too. Another sobering reminder of a cold and sad night and being prepared for the next itme. I was at the Grumman incident on RWY 10 also. These were all pre-camera days not to mention I was pre-occupied. Thanks for the help. I'll keep digging too.

Here are the ones listed from the ASN database. It does not list the Ultralight though.

I just found this in the FAA database, and am about to go through it:

I get an error when clicking that link Chuck. But the cool thing about that database you found is you can export it to excel and filter it how you want. Awesome find!

I've been going through it checking all the general aviation links, but I haven't found it yet!  Wish I could get it to stay on that page with the link??

YES!  That's the one!  I knew it was a Rutan design, but I had the wrong one.  Good bit of research, Mark, thanks!
