As the video says, Bob Hoover is the "Pilot's Pilot".  I loved watching him as a kid at seemingly every airshow until the FAA grounded him because of his age.  (I've always wondered if they felt bad about that?)

Pretty sure he fought the FAA and won.  It took him a long time but he was reinstated.  I believe he flew for a couple more years before retiring.
