I went to Michigan on Sunday and thought that it was a great airshow.  The flights seemed like they operated closer to the crowd than in Cleveland and everyone was very friendly.  It was exciting to finally see the V-22 Osprey fly for the first time, not to mention all of those warbirds.  I think I'll go again next year Smile

Glad you had fun Mark and RampBoss!  It's been on my schedule since I first went in '09.  Corsair Demo from Sunday:

Thanks!  I'm going to be editing for a while…shot about 4200 pics over the weekend.  Favorite part of the whole weekend happened when I was shooting the Corsairs.  There was a gentleman getting his picture taken next to one of them.  I had the honor of meeting a World War II pilot who flew both the Corsair and the Hellcat.  We talked for a few minutes – I could have listened to him all day.  He said he liked the Hellcat better than the Corsair because it was more comfortable to fly – said that he had a lot of carrier landings in the Hellcat – just amazing!

Wow.  What an honor to talk to that guy.  He sure would have had my attention.

Very cool, one of the things I liked about the Willoughby show was the vets they had there.

The day after POTUS's inauguration, I went to the Air and Space museum and came across an old African American man talking to some kids upstairs. Turns out he was a crew chief for the Tuskegee Airmen! All us adults were just awestruck by this man's stories. Very emotional linking his struggles then to sitting behind Obama on the steps of the capital.

What a great show and what cool experiences you all had.  I am quite jealous of all of you!  I have to try to make it next year as well...maybe we should do a road trip?! 🙂
