Have you seen any plans for larger aircraft? I haven't seen anything mentioned in any of the promo stuff.
I just got FSX installed again, along with the Level-D 767 and REX. Also got myself a TrackIr which is pretty damn awesome I must say. I got an older (new) TrackIr4 for $80. Don't know how I ever "flew" without it...
The general rumor is MS is gonna wait and see how their current offerings will go before calling it a success or failure before releasing more aircraft and landmass.
I am personally hoping for a small airliner for inter-island travel such as a 717 or 737.
And chances of seeing MS release airliners in real airline liveries seems very slim with no chance of third parties or individuals being able to paint or release said paint jobs to the public.
One of the communities concerns is pricing of extra aircraft and regions to fly around, with the full state of Hawaii costing $20, how much could all of North America cost individual players?
With FSX, MS got jealous of how well third party developers were making money, now MS wants all that money for Flight, there is little hope for MS to create sdk's for third party aircraft and scenery, It seems that MS and third party developers cannot agree on terms on how this would work between them.
That's grim news. I doubt that MS is going to be successful with this endeavor. Especially since they would never spend the time to develop something as advanced as a Level-D 767. I am willing to spend money on stuff, but It has to be worth it. Looks like FSX will stay on my computer for a while. X-Plane 10 was just released, maybe they will be the future of flight sims, their stuff sure looks nice.
