what i am hoping to see is MS take their time on this during development and after release, on the Flight page, they mention 'continual updates over time'.
that message above mentions possible game DLC through the Live Marketplace, but i do hope that companies like Captain Sim will still be able to produce game content for this new version of Flight Simulator
There's no way that our current computers will run this well. And to a point, I also hope not. If it comes out in 3 years or so, computer technology will be more advanced, and hopefully the new flight sim will take advantage of this. However, I would hope that MS has learned that the sim should run smooth at acceptable settings with the then current hardware.
Anyway, I'm not getting too excited, MS has let us down pretty hard on the last few revisions, let's see what they come up with...
ill get excited when it comes out and my ole 1300 comp can run it smooth. With the technology we have today,i dont see why future flight sims and other sims alike cant have better graphics while being able to run on slower, lower powered systems. I dont see myself dishin out a crap load of cash jus to upgrade my system to play one sim. It jus aint happen'in. Farther more, Microsoft has failed in the past with quite a few details reguarding its sims, like Train Simulator and the countless flight sims. We'll see when it comes out if it wins my approval.
