Southwest Airlines announced yesterday that it will begin a daily, nonstop flight between Port Columbus and Oakland, just across the bay from San Francisco.

The airline also said it is adding two nonstop flights to Boston. Service starts August 9th.

Southwest has recently been expanding service in Columbus. It plans to begin service to Dallas Love Field on April 8 and will add a daily flight to Ronald Reagan Washington National on the same date. It will also add a third daily flight to Atlanta
