Beginning July 1, Spirit Airlines is adding new nonstop service between Cleveland Hopkins and Newark. The New service will fly daily, departing Cleveland at 9:30 AM, while the return flight departs Newark at 6:50 PM. 

Spirit officials noted that this is their ONLY new route for July, and that demand from Cleveland has quickly recovered. They also said that they expected their Cleveland operations to be back to pre-pandemic levels by July 1. 

Spirit will compete with United Airlines on this route. United only recently resumed service to Newark from Cleveland -- flying only once per day, down from seven.
