I think it is inevitable to have a drawn down and would predict that CO Express & CO Connection operations get hit hardest, which sucks for those employees. I also think there may be some interesting changes on the mainline side of the equation, perhaps even for the better (different equipment, increased frequencies to big cities).
I hate to see it happen, but mergers always mean less, not more. Which means that the "excess" will get let go after the merger...airplanes, employees, hubs, offices, etc. CO+UA can promise that CLE won't see that much change, but I sense a CVG goona happen in the future. I hate to be a pessimist, but usually, the pessimist is right. I will believe the "new UA" when I see it, and in the meantime, hope that CLE only gets larger, not smaller, if not, de-hubbed.
