Amen to that!  I'm just hoping that United realizes this and capitalizes on the tremendous opportunity it has to diversify locations for big international flights.  It's like an investment portfolio: the more you diversify, the less risk you have overall.  The more United can spread out it's business, the less of an impact it will be when something major like this happens at one part of the country.  The other hubs can pick up the slack and not compromise service and timeliness--especially CLE!  I almost wonder if they're now considering utilizing the untapped assets of CLE as an international arrival hub and alleviate the major congestion at EWR, ORD, et al.

Wasn't there a conversation not long ago here about someone being banned or restricted or something on that site?  It wasn't you was it, Chuck?

Leave it to the government to be the weakest link and disrupt successful private business.  They'll be the first ones to slap the airlines with massive fines for the delays caused by their inability to keep up!  It's too bad it can't work the other way around and the airlines fine the government thousands of dollars per passenger because of the delays they cause!

LOL!  It wasn't quite like that, though!  There was a posting in their forum about the Legacy that had the collision with the GOL 737 in Brazil coming to Cleveland, and we actually happened to have the only picture of it arriving, complete with missing winglet.  I just thought people would be interested in seeing a photo of it  (and sure...to be honest, it would be nice to get a little exposure like so many other sites and blogs do from time to time) but they wouldn't have it!

I was a bit miffed when they removed my post and sent me a nasty letter, so I sent a reply using the same tone!  I was accused of "abusive or threatening language" or some such and they told me my account was suspended.  (The word I used was "pathetic"!)  I just didn't see why linking to some sites was okay, but mine wasn't.

No worries though, I'm well over it!  I still look at their forums from time to time to see what they are fighting about lately...sometimes it's entertaining, other times it just ticks me off!
