I was on Puritas heading west when I heard it, then SAW it!!!! Wow was he big and low! Wish I could have grabbed my phone and gotta a pic with him below the storm clouds.
Never noticed how much flightaware times are off. Says it arrived at 8:19p but it flew over my head at 8:48p

At an ice cream shop off of W. 130th when I saw him enter the pattern, then I saw him gears down about ten minutes after that (in the same ice cream shop drive thru

Dang...I completely missed it! Would sure be nice if it was still there Friday at say, noonish? I doubt it though. I was working over on the D side tonight in a windowless room, so no wonder I missed it. If it wasn't for a co-worker calling me to tell me to take my camera and go outside, I wouldn't even have seen the storm tonight!

That beautiful DC-8 is still parked on the South Cargo Ramp as of 0530 Friday morning and it doesn't look like it's going anywhere soon. Love the National paint scheme on that plane.

I think you will get your wish Chuck.....Still there at 9:30A no sign of leaving...
Good news is this is a different National DC-8 ,this is N872CA and it has a little different and I think better paint scheme....It is really nice! Got a shot of it this morning..........
