I actually noticed this same glitch on several UA flights when I was looking at CLE on FlightAware just the other day and did a double take. There were 2 or 3 listed as being operated by a 732. I posted a topic about it over on the FA forums and they said it was just a glitch in the system.
You need to be a member to view our links., looks like it was UA flights 1037 and 1233 that day, apparently they were actually being operated by 738s. According to one of the admins, the problem is because the airline sent them "73X" which apparently used to mean 732.
Although how cool would that be if UA actually started using 732s again… a man can dream, right?
