173 miles south from Cleveland at Wright Patterson AFB and at Urbana's Grimes Field, there will be a Doolittle Raiders Reunion scheduled to bring 30 B-25's in April.

As of last year, I have been really lucky and have become part of the Liberty Aviation Museum which will open this year at Port Clinton airport.  We have a B-25 there and I am/will be a engineer/first officer on it.  Have already flown it and man, it's quite the experience.  No need to mention the photo opportunities with unlimited access to this airplane.

Seeing that many B-25's in one place will surely be an awesome sight!

Awesome. I caught a ride on the EAA Tri-Motor last time it was up there. No mention of the B-25, so what a great surprise!

Yeah, they are building a Trimotor from scratch up there pretty much by hand.  Amazing, seeing I can barely change the oil on my car...

Michi - congrats on the B-25 slot!  I have been following the museum's progress on FB and I'm glad there is something like that so close to home.  Would love to get involved just hard to find the time to do so.

As far as the B-25's at Urbana - I drove down there two years ago when they had another reunion like this and there were only a few B-25's that showed up on the Thursday prior.  Was a good experience but I was hoping to see a few more!  Haven't decided if I'm going to hit up Urbana again or maybe hit the USAFM.

Great shots Michi, and glad to hear things are going well at PCW.  What's the story on the Trimotor?  I must have missed that.

I think this Urbana event would be a great one to get to, I'll have to see how my schedule comes out in April!

Urbana was pretty cool.  There was a small admission fee if I remember like $5 and then another $5 to get out to the taxiway and shoot pics.  It was also fairly laid back with not thousands of people there.
