Hour and Half commute to work took 4 hours today. Second round of freezing rain hit Indy just has I was pulling into work, and for 6 hours that is all I heard against the window by my desk, pellets of ice. Company putting me up in the Holiday Inn for tonight and tomorrow

This morning, thanks to several hours of above-freezing temperatures, almost all of the ice and snow had melted off my car.  I was still out there for ten minutes, but the car is clean!!!

We did not have any power outages, but there are many branches down, mostly less than 1" in diameter.

The parking lot at my complex is an entirely different story.  It is ice-covered with water pooled due to a blocked drain, and only slushy immediately behind my bumper.  Even though my car is clean, I wonder if I can even get out of the complex.

We had icy slush pellets all evening and I'm just looking outside now and we're having light flurries.  Looks like some ice build up on my truck.  I think it will take some scraping.  Oh....and it's WINDY!

I have a two foot drift on the front porch on the south side of the house. Big flakes coming down right now, covering up all the ice. It must be pretty thick because the animals are leaving tracks on top of it.

Looking out the back window, I can see that the lake has opened back up again.  :embarassed:

Yesterday wasn't too bad at the airport after the morning snow was cleaned up.  Early evening though the sleet was kicking it pretty good.  I did a little OT yesterday so drove home after 2130 last night.  Roads were just "sleety" not really too slippery.  It was just snowing pretty good here in Lakewood but looks like it has slacked off a little.  Big temperature swings this morning though.

last night around 9:30pm i needed to switch the cars in the driveway, and they all had big coatings of ice on them, and i had to stick my head out the window to see.

at 5:50am this morning, it was 40 degrees and there wasnt any ice on either of the cars...sigh.

temp is dropping tho, should be single digits by tonight and the real fun begins.
