Doubtful. It is a bummer since at the Toronto air show they are having a naval demonstration there for the Canadian Navy week. Aircraft and navy vessels will interact. Wish we could have that here. But our beautiful lake has way to many private homes hogging up the lakefront for a decent crowd to get close enough to see anything.

The Brits used to bring lots of stuff back in the day.  I remember Nimrods, Vulcans, Tornado's and there were probably more, but it hasn't been that good for many years.

Canada always sends a CF-18 for static. But I agree it would be nice to see some other countries power.

I TOTALLY agree on this. I mean, the F-22 goes overseas, as well as our demo teams. Why not send some Eurofighters, Su-27s, MiGs, Rafales, etc over here? I'd love to see the Red Arrows, White Knights, etc here.

Would be nice to see some foreign military jets here like in the old days - but budgets being what they are - I'm sure it will be a long time until we see any - if at all.  Was looking at the Navy week website for CLE and there didn't seem to be anything listed except the airshow.  I'd like to see the Navy do a Great Lakes Cruise again - although we can only get a frigate or maybe a flat bottomed amphib in the lake.

I believe the working draft in the Lakes is 27 feet; an Arleigh Burke class destroyer needs 31.  Repairing a scraped-off a sonar dome is an incredibly expensive job.

Don't forget. The US Federal budget operates from 1 October to 30 September. That means lots of folks have blown their remaining budget for the fiscal year.

I'm sure that's why we don't get a lot of foreign stuff. I know that I've put in request to Chuck Newcomb and Kim Dell for years for different stuff. I even offered to do the leg work in the past. NO luck.

Ah - you too have tried to get through the "black hole" that is the Cleveland Air Show organization....I had the same luck with a different topic.
