Was at CMH when I saw a hawk swoop down and eat a mouse or rat, can't tell.  Here are some pics, heavily cropped...

I love how every time you hear the eagle screech on tv or radio, it's really the Red-Tailed Hawk that you hear.
An eagle sounds almost like a mouse in real life. It squeaks...

I thought I was the only one who knew that!!  I know...the redtail "skree" is almost always used for any kind of large bird on TV!  I've seen it used for hawks, owls, eagles, vultures and more!  It's like Hollywood sound artists have no idea that there are people who know the difference...I know that they don't know the difference!  Drives me crazy!

Not to shift off target but.....have any of you guys notice that in the movies or most TV shows, all helicopters make the sound of a Bell Jet Ranger? The only show ive seen where a helicopter actually kept its real sound was Bay Watch and Air Wolf when they showed a copy of the MD500.

In "Apocalypse Now," the helicopters sounded like Wagner's "Die Valkyrie."
