a friend asked me why it looks so dirty, i couldnt think of an answer, can anyone here guess why it looks dirty, some people thought this was near saltwater

I would guess it has to do with the organic matter in the lake that makes it looks so dirty.... or all the seagull poop.

Those are some pretty cool shots that you guys took, nice work..... I still hate Cleveland Winters but when these things happen, or when you see the frozen waves, it is pretty neat. I am glad to see some ice out there, perhaps it will freeze over sooner than later and there will be no more lake effect.... One can only pray.. :angel:

organic matter my ass! Lake Erie is jus dirty...simple as that.

This spectacle made it on the 11 o-clock news here in ATL. When i first saw it, i was like "A light house in Cleveland?" Then it struck me "Wendy Park!". I tell ya one thing, it certainly brings back memories. One thing i notice the lack of down here that i miss in Cleveland are the sea gulls. I actually spotted a couple on the wing pass'in thru. I guess they were head'in south for the winter......i dunno.

Powered by a 300hp John Deere 6081H Natural Gas fueled engine connected to an Allison B400R6 six speed automatic transmission.
