PENNSYLVANIA BEGINNING THURSDAY EVENING AND CONTINUING INTO

FRIDAY EVENING. LOW PRESSURE THAT WILL MOVE TO OHIO TONIGHT WILL

MOVE INTO NEW YORK STATE ON FRIDAY. AS THIS HAPPENS THE RAIN WILL

CHANGE TO WET SNOW THURSDAY NIGHT...CONTINUE AS SNOW FRIDAY...AND

BEGIN TO DECREASE BY FRIDAY EVENING AS THE LOW CONTINUES MOVING

A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING

THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING.

RAIN WILL CHANGE TO WET SNOW THURSDAY NIGHT...CONTINUE AS SNOW ON

FRIDAY...AND THEN BEGIN TO TAPER OFF FRIDAY EVENING. LOCATIONS IN

THE WATCH HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR 6 TO 10 INCHES OF WET SNOW WITH

LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS UP TO 12 INCHES POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY

CLOSER TO LAKE ERIE. THE TRACK AND SPEED OF THE LOW WILL DETERMINE

EXACTLY WHICH LOCATIONS RECEIVE THE HEAVY SNOW. THE LOW IS

EXPECTED TO MOVE FROM OHIO NORTHWARD THROUGH WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA

AND WESTERN NEW YORK. IF THE TRACK CHANGES THIS WILL IMPACT THE

SNOWFALL AMOUNTS.

This one wasn't as bad as the one two weeks ago. I think because it was warmer and the roads were warmer it lessened the impact on travel.... I went out to TOL and came back in it and with the exceptions a few spots the roads were just wet.

This heavy, wet snow is a pain. Only cleared half the driveway, enough to get both cars off the street. Mother Nature will have to finish the job. Anyone remember about 20 years ago when we got one of these storms in April which caused the roof collapse of Stardust Lanes on Brookpark Rd?

Two car-lengths of the driveway is all I ever clear. As soon as we hear the report of snow coming, we park the cars at the street end to further minimize shoveling.

Shoveling the *whole* driveway would be obsessive. 🙂
