I'm sure TSA will continue doing its fine job...
Seriously, though, I'm not sure we have done much of anything here. I fear that we may have simply cut off the head of a Hydra. There are already other Al Qaeda groups causing more havoc than Bin Laden's.
What I'm most concerned about is how the HELL did he stay in Pakistan so long without their government doing anything?
A group of us were supposed to go shopping yesterday morning in downtown Riyadh. When I turned on the news at 0830 here, I called my Chief as he had not heard yet. The trip was cancelled, and we were all confined to the compound unless going on shift.
Last night, we had a quiet celebratory dinner ended with cigars and root beer, and a burst of automatic weapons fire from somewhere down the road a few klicks. Still keeping low over here for a bit longer.

Out of the sandbox, finally!
Sounds like a good move Yak, stay safe over there.
I fear this is the beginning of a new chapter in terrorism that will unfold into something that is very ugly and very deadly.
Sure, he was of high value but there are so many others that have money like he did that are ready to take his place and exact his revenge.
I'm glad we popped that SOB...very glad it was my Navy's SEALs that completed the mission and sent that murderer to hell. Terrorism won't stop - he didn't start terrorism to begin with. The hope is that without their "elusive" figurehead - Al Qaeda - will have a harder time organizing world-wide. I'm sure that the intelligence that we gathered in that house will help to unravel them as well.
