Dude!! Thats freggin awesome!!

I have personally never seen a Bald Eagle. Spotted Red-Tailed Hawks, Cooper's Hawks and Falcons.....but never a Bald Eagle.

Powered by a 300hp John Deere 6081H Natural Gas fueled engine connected to an Allison B400R6 six speed automatic transmission.

They are more common than many folks realize...I see them multiple times a week and sometimes more than one a day, but then again...I am always looking at the sky, and I know how to tell an eagle from a hawk!  Nice shots though, and it's always cool to see one no matter how many times it happens!

I've always wanted to get some decent photos of them.  Here in Columbus they're pretty rare, I've seen a few from a distance.  I'll be in Cleveland next Wednesday for other business, any idea where they would be pretty easy to find if I went looking for a little bit or is it mainly luck?

Oh my gosh...I meant to reply to this but it got lost in the maddening shuffle of my life!  I take it your trip is over?  I was going to suggest Sandy Ridge Reservation about 1/2 hour west of Cleveland.  There's a pair nesting there and I rarely go without seeing at least one.

As for the Hopkins eagles, the ones you see at the airport are the pair that are nesting in the valley at the Rocky River metropark.  There's a local lady who keeps close tabs on them and has got some great pictures.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner.  Keep your eyes open though, and you will see one eventually!

Thanks for the replies.  I should have clarified, I'll be up on the 16th.  I was told the general coordinates for the Rocky River nest but I'll have to hunt for it with my eyes.  I'll check out Sandy Ridge too after I'm done in Oberlin.

Very cool Corey...glad you got to see one!  I can't seem to get the pics to enlarge though?  Is it just me?  Where did you take these?

Edit  Whoops...looks like you're going to try again!
