Those of you who are interested in weather spotting might be interested to know that there is a side to the American Meterological Society (AMS) which is for amateurs. The Northeast Ohio Chapter of the American Meteorological Society (NEOhCAMS) is re-forming in this area. We are mostly - but not all - amateurs from various walks of life with varying degrees of involvement with weather logging, spotting, chasing, reporting, etc. I've been involved on and off since I moved back to Ohio, but more recently I've not been able to attend meetings. They still have me on the logs, though, so if you are interested, you can contact me for more information.
