Hi All, I decided to start a different thread for these Anchorage pics so that these don't get lost in the birthday thread found here:

Me at Rust's Flying Service home base getting ready for my floatplane trip that my parents and my aunt paid for for my birthday. This was a turbo Otter at the dock that got loaded up with a ton of stuff including a boat that a bunch of hunters chartered, I took a Caravan.

We flew up a couple of valleys and a couple times we circled and this is what was ahead! It looks a little more ominous than it was!

We landed on a pretty remote glacial lake called Beluga Lake that has a milky color from all the sediments that were previously suspended in the ice. Way cool…it was absolutely silent up here!

And one more for now. This is me on my balcony at midnight, showing how Alaska truly IS the land of the midnight sun!

That's it for now. I just woke up and it looks like another beautiful day…let's see what kind of mischief I can get into today! Enjoy!
EDIT: Oh boy, I seem to have mucked up the alignment of the shots…hope you can sort them out!
Well...heading home tonight. This is a trip I will remember for the rest of my life, and one I hope to repeat sometime soon. Beautiful place, wonderful people, and Oh the planes! Be prepared for a ton of pics once I get home and can work on my good computer. I might get a couple more up today yet, but we'll see how it goes...for now, I have to start the packing process.
