Washington’s Airports Set Records – Airports International

Washington Dulles International Airport served 23.2 million passengers in 2011, 6.5 million of which were international or transborder travellers. (MWAA)

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport served a combined total of 42 million passengers in 2011, according to figures released by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.

Jack Potter, the Authority’s President and CEO, said that he was pleased with the results, adding that: “We will continue to work to keep the Washington region one of the stronger air service markets in the country for both passengers and cargo.”

Reagan National served 18.8 million passengers last year, an almost 4% increase over 2010 and ahead of the national average growth of 1.5%.
