This week a man flying from Newark, New Jersey to Los Angeles created a stink when he informed airport security that he was bringing a dead dog in a cardboard box on his flight.

At first this raised no red flags, but after the plane was in the air and security officials realized the package with the canine cadaver had not been properly screened for explosives.

TSA officials, after some brief concern, deemed that the dead dog in a box was not a significant enough threat to recall the flight.
