Crain’s Cleveland Business – The price of an airline ticket rises and falls from day to day. Parking though, at least at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, is going up. The price is going up $2 a day, except for valet parking, which is unchanged.
“There is a variety of price points for our passengers to choose from, including our economy lots, the Orange Lot and the Brown Lot,” said Robert Kennedy, director of the city of Cleveland-owned airport. “With the price adjustments, our parking products and prices remain competitive.”
Here are all the new parking rates as of May 1:
• CLE Smart Parking Garage: $20 per day
• Red Lot: $18/day
• Blue Lot: $16/day
• Orange Lot: $15/day
• Brown Lot: $11/day
• Curbside valet: $25/day
The city believes the new, higher rates will allow it to lower overall airline operating costs and attract new air carriers and expand non-stop destinations for Northeast Ohio travelers.
Passengers entering the lots before the increase takes place on May 1 will not be charged the new rate.
