Lightning strike diverts plane

(CNN) — Authorities diverted a passenger plane to New York after lightning struck the aircraft, a US Airways spokeswoman said.
Lightning hit US Airways Express Flight 4507 just after 2 p.m. Friday, spokeswoman Liz Landau said. There were 32 passengers and three crew members onboard the plane, which was flying from Philadelphia to New Haven, Connecticut.
