N7001U (cn 18293) The very first 727 taxies away from the gate at CMH in June, 1972. This aircraft, the prototype, first flew on February 9, 1963. After the flight test program it was delivered to United on November 6, 1964 and flew with them until 1991. It is preserved at The Museum of Flight in Seattle.
