PH-BUF (cn 21659) Parked at the IAB building (next to BA DC-10-30, "Benmore Forest") on a cloudy day in Houston, you would be forgiven if you misidentified this as a -300 or -400 series 747. In fact, it is a -200SUD with the "stretched upper deck" feature and went on to fly for quite a few more years with KLM and was last reported with Thai Sky airlines. Named for Sir William E. Kingsford Smith the famous Australian aviator, it shares the name with Sydney's International airport. 1992

None (cn None) Boston used to have a fantastic observation area located in the same building as the control tower, and it had a bar, snacks, and observation scopes. Sadly, that is long gone, as are most observation areas around the country, but this was part of the view back in 1992. With six NW Airlink Metros, three Airlink DO-228's, an Aer Lingus 742. an American DC-10, two NW 747's and a DC-10, one DC-8 each for UPS and Airborne Express, two Zantop L-188 Electras and a BA 767, there are at least twenty aircraft in this photo. 1992
