N1KQ (cn 1037) "One of only 1940 Bellanca 14-9L Crusairs. This particular airframe was used by State Airlines to operate the first scheduled air service from Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The aircraft was found by Howard Miller, a member of the Museum's Board in California in the early 1990s and restored by the Museum. In 2007 it was placed on long-term loan by the Museum to Charlotte Douglas International Airport and hung at the end of the Airport's Concourse D." (Wikipedia) |
