N850HK (cn 145003) One of the oldest Embraer jets in existence, this Trans States ("Waterski") E-145 was the fourth off the Brazilian production line and built as an 'ER' model. It served as Embraer's demo aircraft from 1996 to 2002 (as PT-ZJD), then it joined Colombian airline SATENA (as FAC1170) from Jan. 2002 till Sep. 2004. It then went back to Embraer (as PP-XKN) for a bit before being converted to an 'LR' model and entering regular airline service. It flew for Trans States up until late 2009, when it was painted in the colors of ALAS, which, alas, seems to have never taken off. Current whereabouts unknown. |
