hmm.. NW 3 did JFK-IAD-ORD-ANC-NRT but I dont recall it stopping in CLE. NW 16 was listed as a 747 HNL-ORD-CLE, but I changed to a 727 at ORD. |

I thought Northwest Orient had scheduled 747 service in CLE for a short while?..Multiple stops starting in Washington DC then to CLE,ORD then finally to ASIA. |

Your right Chris...United did have 747 to ORD and MIA.I also believe they had just for a little while non-stop 747 to LAX to compete with American's 747 to LAX.I remember seeing the AA 747 come in around midnight and depart in the morning..I have photos of the AA 747 in the gate with ramp loading of the passengers..no jetways on A concourse back then..... |

I remember the UA flight to ORD, did not remember the MIA run. Did AA ever bring the 747 into CLE? I remember one other airline used 747 service, if only briefly in CLE. I know AA used the DC-10 out of CLE. Cool stuff. |

747's weren't THAT rare! I remember in the 70's there were 2 daily 747 flights out of CLE. Flight 576 to MIA and 953 to ORD. |
