N1051T (cn 45714) A nice postcard of the A Concourse. Visible is TWA DC-9-14, reg # 45714 that was delivered to TWA in March of 1966. Also visible is an American BAC-111 and 727. Notice that United used part of this concourse as well, so the date may be 1967 or 1968, as United soon was to move to the new Concourse C.

Night Flights! I hung out there a LOT! :-) Not the Brown Derby too much, but Night Flights was fun. Ah...memories!

Somewhere beyond those trees is where I played baseball and hung out for most of the 70's. Night- Flights and Brown Derby just out of the picture to the right. I guess that's where I was in the 80's when I wasn't at the airport! Cool shot.

With DJR107 comments stating that he lived within this photo it brings to mind an additional benefit of these old postcards- they show how much the area surrounding the airport has changed as well. I liked it better the old way!

Somewhere in those trees is where I used to live.

I just uploaded one of the main lobby a half hour ago! Good timing!

Any interior shots of the old terminal or concourses? That would be great!

Thats correct, they called them by direction back in the old days- I still have the habit of calling the old concourses out by their current letter designation! That concourse featured all kinds of interesting aircraft- American Electras, BAC-111, 727's Allegheny CV580, NW Electras, 707's 720's, 727's, plus United operated out of their with anything from Caravelles to B720-022! Too bad the observation deck did not run along that concourse as well.

Keep the old postcards coming. What great memories. Remember, this was the "North" concourse back then.
