Unknown (cn Unknown) American Airlines flight 40 passes tonight's first quarter moon nearing the end of its transcontinental trip from Los Angeles to New York (JFK.) According to FlightAware's tracking system, this aircraft was just east of Brunswick Ohio some twenty five miles distant from my position near downtown Cleveland. It was at 39,000' and doing 542 kts.
