About OPShots

What is OPShots? OPShots is the name I chose a number of years ago as a tag-line to my aviation photos that have been published on other websites, and in various aviation magazines. Those of you who have seen my work elsewhere may wonder where the name came from. I work in the Operations center (we just call it "Ops") for one of the majors at Cleveland Hopkins Airport in Cleveland Ohio, and when I started uploading my photos, OPShots just seemed like a good name, and I've decided to stick with it.

Initially, I will be focusing on getting my old 35mm photos scanned and posted. These cover the time I started working at CLE back in 1992, until the time I went digital. I also have a very good collection of eighties-era photos courtesy of Mr. Chris Jacobs that will appear in their own gallery. Since coming online, we have also added additional vintage galleries submitted by users of the site.  I want to focus on these because I feel they cover a time period when there were just a
handful of folks taking pictures at Hopkins, and it is a very under-represented time period for Cleveland on the web.

My Non-Aviation photos section will include many of my other favorite topics that I'd like to share with you, such as birds, (another lifelong hobby of mine), and photos from my various travels around my city and the world. These galleries however, will be slow to come to life as we are concentrating on getting enough aviation content online to make your visit worthwhile!

You will also find galleries featuring photos taken by the OPShots Photo Team, our newly formed and dedicated group of local photographers whose work I am happy to bring to you.

I hope you enjoy browsing through our photos, and please be so kind as to sign our guestbook.

Best Regards,

Chuck Slusarczyk Jr. // OPShots // Cleveland, Ohio
